Zero Empire Records specializes in signing, recording and developing talent in the following genres and subgenres of music:

1.     Alternative Rock (Main Genre)

2.     Late 80’s/early 90’s throwback ALT Rock and Punk

3.     Lo-Fi Indie Rock (raw, unpolished DIY aesthetic)

our vision

Zero Empire Records was conceptualized in January of 2026. Pioneered by local musician Michael Petti, the vision for this independent record label came to fruition after the realization that the Hamilton music scene is in a transitionary period that is thriving in terms of musical talent. With the emergence of new music venues opening in the city, the pursuit of acquiring and working alongside local bands who want to promote and share their original music was seen as an opportunity at the right time to form this record label. Michael Petti has over 35 years of experience as a musician, ranging from percussion and string instruments to vocals and self-recording his own musical pursuits.

Zero Empire Records is dedicated to the development of a creative space for artists to explore their DIY flavour all while preserving their agency in the process. Our mission is to elevate artists to their full potential while delivering the best quality of music to the Hamilton music scene.
